With Les Amis d’Ithaque, we believe in the power of community to share, transmit and enrich photographic knowledge
Who We Are?
Founded in 2025 under the French Law of 1901, Les Amis d’Ithaque is dedicated to promoting and making photographic practice —both analogue and digital— accessible to a broad audience.
We believe in the power of collective learning to share knowledge and provide access to artistic creation for those who are traditionally more distant from it.
Our Activities
As part of the bicentenary of photography, Ithaque was awarded the official label by the French Ministry of Culture for its school photography workshop programme.
At the same time, Les Amis d’Ithaque, which funds photography workshops and artist residencies, was officially recognised as an organisation of general interest by the French tax authorities.
They Trust Us:
Become a Member
Our membership programme is open to both individuals and businesses, enabling everyone to contribute directly to our mission. As the association has been recognised as an organisation of general interest, donations are tax-deductible and Les Amis d’Ithaque is authorised to issue tax receipts.
Individuals: You may benefit from a tax reduction equal to 66% of the amount of your donation, up to a limit of 20% of your taxable income.
Businesses: Contributions made to Les Amis d’Ithaque are eligible for a corporate tax reduction of 60% of the amount donated, capped at €20,000 or 5‰ (five per thousand) of the company’s annual pre-tax turnover. If the ceiling is exceeded, the excess may be carried forward over the following five financial years.
